The plant has been built for the company General Recycling, S.A., one of the main paper and cardboard recycling companies in Greece and it was inaugurated on the 16th of March, 2008, with the presence of the Spanish ambassador in Greece and an economic attaché of the Embassy.

The plant has two lines for the treatment of light containers and a global treatment capacity of 20 tonnes per hour, which translates into an annual processing capacity of 80,000 tonnes of light waste.
