In 1992, benefiting from synergies generated by the machinery manufacturing activity and the ability to develop its Technical Office, Masias group decided to open a line of business in the field of recycling systems and environmental technology.

To properly channelled this new line, MASIAS established MASIAS RECYCLING, SL that, all over these years, has increasingly become a benchmark in selection technology and pre-treatment of recyclable materials, from conception, design, construction and supply of facilities for urban solid waste recycling, with the introduction of facilities first in the whole Iberian Peninsula and later in the rest of Europe and China, where he served 2 floors of RSU and will soon be given the third.

MASIAS RECYCLING, S.L. has in its staff 125 employees, which must be added an indirect group of 40 people additional.

In Sant Joan les Fonts, where headquarters is located, has two manufacturing facilities over 12.500 square meters area and an industrial plant in the industrial Area of Celrà (Girona), of over 7.200 m2, the latter opened in June 2009.

Masias which has been characterized from the beginning by carrying out a relentless research and development activities, works with engineers to corporate customers and has a R & D department whose objective is to find and obtain solutions that improve machinery productivity and equipment manufactured by the company.

The company is certified by TÜV as meeting the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and meets the requirements under environmental management is credited with ISO 14001 environmental certification.
