MASIAS’ EBS system (Enerka Belt System) is a polyvalent high-speed transport line used for the continuous transport of solid waste in a closed environment. This unit provides a substantial improvement for the conventional transport of waste.

It is a new concept that has a special design and operating concept, allowing the transfer of large quantities of raw materials with the minimum limitations, both in terms of space and interferences in the path of the waste. The transport is based on a folded belt, with a pendular system, through the guiding pole path and system support. The carriage units that hand from the guiding pole are used to keep the belt in a closed and sealed position, sliding through the slope with the load of material transported inside. The system has motors used for the advance movement, as a belt traction element, with the use of traction wheels in contact with the belt, so that there is enough traction as required on all system points, while providing the belt with the speed required to achieve the material transport capacity required.

When loading the material transported the EBS system is very flexible, so that the band can be moved in any point and at any height.

The EBS system can be used to transport a large variety of waste in a clean environment, with a high versatility and a very simple construction and maintenance.

The basic features of the unit are as follows:
  • Light basic structure that can be fixed to the floor, walls and ceilings. The high slope angle achieved allows a shorter line length, with the corresponding space savings.
  • Robust system with a longer useful life than conventional systems, since the limit tension is concentrated on the edges and the limit compression in the centre, so that a natural geometry is achieved, minimising the need for tightening pulleys.

The success of these lines is based on the capacity to transport different types of waste in a single system with an agile, clean and safe approach and with a relatively reduced investment. Some of its main advantages are:

  • Transport of high capacity waste in a clean environment.
  • Enclosing the waste on the belt, preventing returned materials from falling.
  • Guaranteeing the correct handling of the different raw materials.
  • Achieving a line with horizontal and vertical curves with small radii, saving space and making the installation’s path totally flexible.
  • Achieving high slope angles, allowing shorter installation lengths.
  • Automation of the whole system so that the customer can have repetition and top quality guarantees for the whole process.
