The ballistic classifier is a solid waste classifier based on a pedal system with rotating classification screens that have an adjustable slope to classify the three types of materials: rolling, light container and cans (driven backwards with the pedals and extracted from the lower part of the unit; flat, cardboard and paper is shifted to the front part of the classification system and then classified, so that all other organic fractions and small unwanted materials (stones, sand, etc.) are classified by the pedal system and collected by the lower part of the unit.

The MASIAS ballistic classifiers can be used for a wide range of classification applications and can thus be used for the classification of SUB and in light container plants, as well as large industrial waste and CDW treatment plants. These classifiers include a new hydraulic sloping system and comply with the strictest safety measures, as well as the different parameters that facilitate the servicing and cleaning of parts.

MASIAS offers a range of five ballistic separators, models SB40, SB60 and SB80, manufactured under the license of Komptech Scandinavia and models SB100 and SB120 –characterised by their high treatment capacity and performance- developed with MASIAS’ own designs.

The main technical features of the ballistic separators of MASIAS are shown on the following table.
